    Hospital judgement
I have an outstanding hospital bill and they informed me today that they are suggesting a law suit to collect. I tried to make a payment plan os $20 a month and they said that with a 6000 balance that would not be suffieient and I would have to pay at least $100. I can't afford $100 I am the sole provider for a family 0f 5. I did contact the hospital and request assistance application but I would like to know how to determine if I am judgement proof if I don't qualify for any assistance I can't afford to be garnished.

If you have an income that is not SS Disability, assets, a bank account, a vehicle, you "probably" you are not Judgment proof.

    What State or Country?

The hospital doesn't have to settle for payments OR for less than they want per month OR for less than the total.

A Judgment "usually" is good for 10 years, renewable for another 10, so the hospital may get the Judgment and then just wait (and hope) you get some assets or income.
