My delta monitor 1700 series shower knob is loose. It was installed with our new home in 1999. How do I remove the handle and repair or tighten? Thanks

Is it just the handle that's loosen or is it the entire valve? Back to you, Tom

To Speedball1: It's just the dial that controls the hot/cold. It is not snug anymore and wobbles.

Here's Delta handles.
Simply snug up the screw. Good luck, Tom

My loose handle looks just like the one on the right and required an allen wrench metric #3 to do the job. Don't wait for that screw to fall down the drain, or have the handle fall off during a shower!

My Delta handle is a little different but the cure is the same. Tighten the set screw found under the handle.
