Hello, I have been on birth control for two years, stopped taking them during the month of January. My period is late 2 1/2 weeks but starting this week I got some brown discharge kind of black that I thougth my period was going to start. Since I thoguth it was my period, I started taking the pills again that same day. I had that discharge for two days now.. but now its lighter is it because I started the pill again or what?!
I don't know what is going on.. can someone tell me!

Skipping a month of birth control then starting it again can definitely mess up your period like you explained. It also puts you at risk for getting pregnant.
I'd recommend seeing your doctor, especially if you've been sexually active.
