    Dismissed custody case in sc
In 2005 my ex filed to obtain custody of our child. It was ordered for both parties to have supervised access. In which he was to have visitation every other weekend. There @eren't any regards to holidays or birthdays in the original order. Then in 2006 he filed to have the custody case dismissed. Where does that leave my case?

Ok where is this going on? Location is important. Who does the child currently live with the majority of the time? When you say "obtain custody of our child" do you mean SOLE custody? Or just visitation? Why were BOTH parties required to do supervised visitation? Was this a dependency case and was there a case plan in effect? Is there currently a case plan in effect regarding you? Do you have any other cases before the Court?

There is a lot missing from your post. You said your ex filed both cases, then you refer to your case that you didn't mention. Second, why would both parents have supervised visits? That makes no sense.

Also, every other weekend implies overnights which implies no supervision. Supervised visit are generally for a few hours.

So please respond and flesh out this story a bit (use the Answer box below). ANY question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area. What really happened in 2005 filing? Did the court rule? What happened in the 2006 filing, did a court rule on that? What filing are you talking about. What has been happening sine 2006?

You will need to see and check with the court which case is or has been dismissed.

And as noted you need to tell us about your case.
