Basically, I first started having problems when I hibernated. I couldn't hibernate without system repair occurring on resume. And already I couldn't use system restore. It would give me an error ending in 8007. Yesterday a virus called "System Check" infected and my avira antivirus was just sitting back. I installed bitdefender and Webroot. Webroot removed many problems and I seemed to have everything back to normal. The virus made all files on my computer hidden and I unhid most of them before the failure to boot. But I still couldn't change my desktop background. Also the PC was running a little slow so I restarted and the start never occurred. I have a windows 7 pro disk but how do I use the repair on the disk? I've tried everything I know to do. System restore still fails. System repair doesn't work. No modes work. Is my only option to completely restore at this point? If you know anything I can do please help

Try running system restore from safe mode.
