Let me give you some hints and you can add your thoughts and questions.

When a coordinate is given like (-1,2) the -1 is the x coordinate and the 2 is the y coordinate.
The x or y value is the distance along that axis from the origin.
The origin is the point which is the intersection of the x and y axes, (0,0).
For x coordinates, positive numbers are to the right and negative numbers are to the left.
For y coordinates, positive numbers are up and negative numbers are down.
Reflection over an axis negates the values of the other coordinate. For example, reflection over the y axis negates the x coordinate. Reflection of (4,-8) over the y axis becomes (-4,-8) because the x coordinate will be negated.

Now you should know how to reflect (-1,2) over the x axis.
Let us know if you have further questions.

since your reflection over the x-axis you want to negate the y so your coordinates would be(-1,-2)
