They are asking for proof of your request NOT proof that your rights were reinstated?

So - send a copy of your request.

This makes little sense, by the way.

I had already sent them everything I have, which is the request and proof of my civil rights being reinstated. I don't understand what else they are looking for.

Sorry, but I think you are barking up an empty tree.

Federal law prohibits the possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. No matter what the Commonwealth of Virginia does, you remain, and always will be, a convicted felon. I don't think there is anything that can be done to change that.

This doesn't belong in the "Small Claims" forum at any rate.

How were your civil rights reinstated? In order to get your right to firearms back you will need to have your records exponged. Otherwise the felony will show up on any records check. Did you receive a pardon from the govenor?

There can be changes made that will change the records. If the records are exponged then the OP will again have the right to bear arms.
