After installing Fast Food Tycoon 1 & clicking play, an error code popped up. Critical Error(yellow traffic/yield type of sign appears here) Lock: Cannot lock surface. Error:291

My Computer: VAIO PCV-RZ 32GB
CPU: Pentium 4
What Happened: I installed the game then clicked play.
After the loading screen (paintbrush washes over black to reveal image of a street with club 66 and the word "loading..." appears vertically down the right side border ) that error message pops up and remains until I click "OK"
The message appears if I click from my start menu or from the cd. It appears with both a minimum install or a maximum.
I've right clicked the icon and clicked compatibility to WIN 2000 but the game still doesn't play.

What can I do?
