Hi,

Me & my wife was in Bellevue,WA,USA. For about 6 months. I don't have ITIN for my wife. We are in India now, I will be travelling back to USA once again in a month.
How can I get the ITIN for my wife without her presence or is she required in USA?
Since she will be travelling to USA by Sep only.
Please help me in this regard.

When filing jointly with your spouse, her physical location is irrelevent; she could be on Mars for all the IRS cares.

You can apply for an ITIN with her bing in India, but it will take some time because SHE must sign both the Form W-7 AND the JOINT return.
