How do I sue a Canadian Company who does sales in the U.S.
A salesman came to our business which is in our home in Sunset Beach, NC. We signed up for the advertisement $650. We found out he lied to us and immediately within the hour he left we called the company in Greenfield Park, Canada. The owner said she would credit back our charge for the full amount. I have over 35 phone calls to them for our credit. They never did an ad for us. It is February 15, 2007 and she still hasn't given it back to us. I reported them to the Canadian BBB, but I want to take them to small claims court in my county, since they did business here. The small claims department in Brunswick Cnty, NC. Doesn't know if they can do it. So now what? Does anyone know how to sue a business located in Canada, but does business in the US? Thank you
