    Has she asked for money?
These scams from Ghana are one of the most popular ones on the internet at the moment.

Agree, so she is using a travel agency to buy plane tickets and the such ? If she asks for money it is a scam, if she just comes to see you, most likely not.

How much money has she asked for so for?

Ghana is the "hot spot" for Internet scams lately so that alone makes me suspicious. Also, getting a passport takes more than a week so why is she so rushed? I don't understand why she needs you to help her get a passport...

Actually they can get their passport in a week, they have a rush system, that can be done, it costs slightly higher. I would assume thus the reason for this company to speed things up.

But the visa will take a bit longer, and at my last reading, they are running behind.

But without more info, my guess is scam.

There are many great and wonder people there, I have several friends from there, and eat at a Ghana food store that is near my home at least once a week. ** love the spice**
The simple fact is , if they wanted to move and come to the US to find work, or immigrate or come to school here, there are plenty of chances for them,

If it's a woman from Ghana... odds are it's a scam... if she is asking you for ANY money... its a scam.
