We had our intercourse on my safe days and now I missed my period for almost 2 months.. I had a positive home pregnancy test result but I don't experience any of the pregnancy symptoms such as frequent urination, breast tenderness, nauseated or food craving..

    Hi good_mom... welcome to AMHD,

Technically, there are no safe days, only days that are less or more likely for a pregnancy to occur. Most women will ovulate on a regular basis, and many will use various means to help track their ovulation, thus they will have a good idea of when it is "safer" to have sex and when it isn't.

However, some women do not ovulate within the norm, and most do not track ovulation. While not common,it can also happen that a woman may have an off cycle and ovulation occurs at a different time than expected.

It would be wise to have your positive result confirmed with your doctor. Some women do not experience many of the more common pregnancy symptoms.

When you took the tests, did you read the results within the time stated on them? For example, many tests will say to read the results after about three minutes. On some tests, if you look at them later on, they can appear to have a faint positive, but this would not be valid.

You could try one more test, following the directions carefully. If it still comes up positive, then you are pregnant. If you are unsure, see your doctor and they will test for you. It would be worth the peace of mind to find out for certain one way or the other.

It does not state on the procedure that if it's faint it would be invalid.. I follow the procedure and the result was a faint line.. I'm not sure with what I have read that the CORE brand pt results in faint colored then it would be invalid.. I used CORE brand pt..

I'm not sure what you want to know here. The fact is, you could be pregnant. You have missed your period for two months, and have had multiple positive pregnancy results. You aren't going to become un-pregnant by ignoring it and knowing in your head that you can't be pregnant because of the day you had intercourse. You need to see a doctor to confirm your HPT results. If your positive result is confirmed, you can discuss the options that are available to you. (And these will become fewer and fewer the longer you wait) If the result is negative, it's a great time to discuss birth control.

Not sure why you "know you can't be pregnant" . You had sex, it appears non protected and you are not on birth control. There are no such thing as "safe" days some women get pregnant even on their periods. So of course you could be pregnant.

There is seldom three false tests, but what you do now, go to your doctor, or a local health department and get a professional test.

As for as other signs, many women never get them, or do not get them in the first couple months of pregnancy.

Since you have already waited this long, you have far less choices of what you can do.

There is a chance you are pregnant. I was tracking ovulation very careful and conceived my daughter on the 10th day of my cycle. Also, sperm can live up to five days so an egg could have been fertilized several days after you thought you were "safe". There is a fairly simple way to find out for sure--call your doctor for a blood test. Its much more accurate than a home urine test.
