    Nursing dog
My dog just had 6 puppies , and she's a small dog and there are going on 4 weeks old and she is starting not to spend time with them sometimes we had to feed the puppies one on one just so they can feed, its not hurting her when they feed she's fine with it but is there something wrong with my dog?

She is starting to wean them, perfectly natural. What are you feeding them? Now you are going to have your hands full! You can start offering them puppy chow softened with water.

It's time to start giving the pups solid food. Mum is telling you that she has had enough of the pups teeth hurting her.

Just start with a very small amount of puppy food (half a teaspoon) to give their stomachs a chance to adapt and gradually increase the amount.

You can also buy puppy milk from pet stores to help take a load off mum.
