    ?2001 Honda Civic CEL
I have a 2001 Honda Civic EX. I noticed a minor oil leak about a week back (1 drop a day) and took it to the mechanic to get it fixed. He mentioned it was due to the cam plug and fixed it. On the drive back though I noticed CEL come on. Car runs fine - I drove at least 50miles today at 60-70mile speed.
Question is, is the CEL anyway related to the mechanic fixing the oil leak?
I do not know how to read OBD II codes either.

    -Thanks for all your help.

It may or may not be. Call AutoZone or Advance Auto Parts and see if they will attach a code reader or scan tool to the Data Link Connector under the dash for free. My bet is it's related to the work done. Be sure to check the engine oil level.

Thanks. I will get the code tomorrow.
I had oil change done just a couple of weeks back -so am expecting oil level to be adequate.

    Thanks once again

It's not common for cam seals to go on Civics. Since Accords are driven harder, it's more common.
