    1991 honda accord not firing after changing head gasket
    I changed the head gasket on a 1991 honda accord LX 2.2 16 valve and when it was complet,it stopped firing

    . Remove the spark plugs and check each cylinder's compression.

    . Ensure you used the proper timing marks for your specific engine and correctly adjusted the timing belt's tension. Afterwards, did you torque the tensioner bolt to spec?

    . Did your Accord previously overheat? If so, did you machine the head and check for valve, piston, and connecting rod damage?

    . Does the Check Engine Light consistently come on for 2 seconds and then go out, when you turn the ignition switch to ON (Position II)?

    . During the 2 second interval, can you hear the fuel pump run?

    . Have you checked all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter?

    . Have you checked for codes?

    . Have you checked for spark?
