It will be impounded till you pick it up. You will have to pay the fee from the two company and storage and have to show proof of ownership. If you are going to drive it away from its current impound, you will have to have current tags on the car and also proof of insurance.

So you can have it towed from the impound to your location without insurance but cannot drive it away.
