My last period was nov. 8th I had unprotected sex and turned up pregnant I missed my period in December I would have started December between the 6th and the 8th my ultrasound says I got pregnant 5 weeks ago. Is it possible I got pregnant in December after I was supposed to start my period? Or did I get pregnant in November?

Ultrasound may not be exact, but it usually is as close as you are going to get for dating a pregnancy early on without having had medical assistance in becoming pregnant. However, given that your dates and what was seen on the ultrasound are not matching up, or even pretty close, they will likely repeat the scan in another couple of weeks or so to see what changes may be seen. This will give them a clearer picture as to how far along the pregnancy is.

It could be that you became pregnant more recently than you suspected; it could be that there is a possible concern for how the pregnancy is progressing. Another ultrasound will help them to make that determination.

If nothing was mentioned, check back with your doctor as to when another scan will be done.
