I am currently dealing with a probation closure meeting that should have taken place last year in may. Am I going to be charged with violating my probation because I didn't do the meeting last year? The Probation office said I needed to come down to their office to get a completion letter to get my license back and have the meeting to close the case. Will they arrest me because of this?
What are the circumstances? You were required to attend a meeting but simply didn't show up - ?
Thanks for your response. I wasn't notified that I had to go to the meeting by probation or my lawyer or the judge. It is a dwi case in Mn. I only had figured this out on my own from looking up my case on line and seeing that it wasn't closed and satisfied on record. So I did some anonymous reserch and a phone call to find out where it stood before I spoke with probation. They didn't say anything leading to that there was an arrest warrant, but there was a class on my list o 'things to complete' that I did and have the certificate of completion saying I did them that aren't satisfied by court record. Also, aren't they required to tell me if I have violated probation? I am labeled as discharged but I need the meeting to close the case on record. Again, have I violated requirements? Will I need a lawyer to stand next to me as I complete this meeting? This is all happening as soon as I go in the court house to wrap this up. What should I expect?
