    Part-Time Resident of Hawai'i
I work 4-6 months of the year doing seasonal-work with the National Park Service and the remainder of the years I'm doing part-time job as a temporary worker. My question is, what do I need to know about filing my "state" Taxes for Hawai'i and filing a non-resident tax for the out-of-state employer which is an income tax free state along with filing my federal income tax. A year ago, I began filing a part-time resident tax form for Hawai'i. I have been homeless since 2006 but continued to work doing seasonal-work since 2005. Please advise!

How much income are we talking about here? It is possible you are below the thresholds needed to require a Hawaiin state return.
