I writing this message to search for helped regarding the import payment using quickbooks 2007/2008.Our company will buying the material from EURO and has made the first payment around sing dollar $31000(euro 17000)and I did record in quickbooks bill $31000 on 02/09/2011. However,on 01/11/2011 I received the (cargo clearance permit) which indicate the full amount of buying sing dollar $105300 plus GST TAX sing dollar $7300. Our management were intending to claim the gst.

I wondered that how to enter the amount in my quickbook to generate the gst in my tax report? Do I need to deduct the first payment which has already incurred?

I doubt you will be getting an answer anytime soon, because the tax issue here are foreign import taxes, and this forum deals EXCLUSIVELY with U.S. taxes.

Further, you are asking a technical question about QuickBooks, which is better suited for the Computers & Technology forum.
