6.5hp motor valves out of sequence
Hey, my motor has been running beautiful until I filled it with oil. I filled it too much and it was forced into the combustion chamber when I was running it. So I took of the head off and found the problem. Me being an idiot took the valves off thinking you had to take them off to get the head off aswel. It is an OHV system. Now this is my question. Wat is the tention I have to put on the valve springs and how do I get them in sequence. It is a chinese brand as well, but it very much like the briggs and stratton 6.5hp.

Thanks for reading and I hope you answer my question :)

Move the piston to top dead center and set the clearance at around 3-5 thousands this should get you started. Find the manufacturer and check the recommended settings for a fine tune.

Thanks this helps a little bit, but I'm only a novice at this stuff. The clearence of what? When I put it all together it pushes air out through the intake. And seems to have very little compression.

Under the cover that says (OHV) you will have two rockers being supported by two push rods, these rockers ride on the valves and are timed to open at the proper sequence by the cam. You will notice that when you rotate the crankshaft these will move up and down. The need to fully release the valve and have a little clearance (3-5) on the TDC (top dead center) Yours is holding the intake valve open.

Hope that helps its all I got
