Hi.. -PLEASE HELP ME! I just had my first pre-natal visit.. I have completed my 8 weeks last date of period was 11/25(day after thanksgiving and was shopping!).. my obs/gyn did my pelvin examination and said I am measuring slightly larger... she thinks I could be farther along than what I think or it may be twins! I know for a fact I cannot be farther along.. I know the exact date of my last period's first day! TWINS? Now, that will be a problem because I am not ready financially for two babies right now... can there be other reasons for the slightly larger uterus?I have no morning sickness or anything.. I do get tired every now and then.. I do eat a lot... I mean I get so hungry AND I have put on like 8 lbs already in the last two months.. :)!. although I try to make my food healthy and whole.. and that's about it... OH GOD I hope there are other explanations than twins.. this is my first pregnancy and I have never been on any fertility drugs or anything.. I am 28 years old!

The person to ask is your Physician. Are you CERTAIN that your "last" period was, in fact, a period and not just spotting?

Do twins run in your family or his - although that's not necessary!

When will the Doctor perform ultrasound?

Thanks Judy... as far as I can remember I had a full fledged period lasting 3-4 days.. that was in November.. well my first cousin had two girls.. the girls are like 25 now.. that's about the only twins connection we have in both of our families.. I am having an ultra sound on Thursday, 01/26th... day after tomorrow.. I am just so anxious.. I hope my baby is either just big or my body is just different and its not twins... My physician told me today after the pelvin examination that I feel slightly larger than normal.. lol!
