He whines to get into the house so he can go inside... I can be out with him for an hour and he gets frantic... I hold out so he has no choice and then praise him and give him a treat... but if I am not prepared to wait outside forever after his meals or nap he holds out... also he can be out for play and exploration for an hour and immediately on putting him in the crate he pees or poops... we have the time to spend and we have gotten rid of paper and pads... help

When a dog deficates in his crate so soon after coming in from outside you are going to have to start retraining him from ground up.
