So I thought my water broke this morning cause there was a liqiud that ran down my leg I went to the hospital, but it was just mucas (sorry tmi), the nurse checked me and said the baby's head was low and was hard to get around it to check my cervix but my cervix is still closed and high and she didn't say if I was effaced any.. I am 37 weeks and 5 days does this mean I am close to labor or does it mean nothing please help

What did the Nurse say about how close you are?

We are guessing here because we haven't examined you OR talked to the Nurse.

There is no way of knowing simply because you can have a closed cervix, and go into labor the next day, or you can have some dilation already and walk around that way for a few weeks.

You are at the stage that is considered the "anytime" stage. It may be soon, it may be a few more weeks still. A vaginal exam at this point just gives your doctor an idea of what sort of changes are occurring. So far there hasn't been much change, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
