Ice maker t under kitchen sink is stripped
I don't have a fridge with an ice maker right now but my sink was previously fit for one. The brass valve that diverts water through the tube that leads to the icemaker can not shut off. It seems to be stripped. I can't find any other way to turn this water off and the tube just leaks and leaks. Help.

Do you wish to keep the line and replace the valve or Remove the line and valve and patch the hole left by the valve? Let me know, Tom

What type of valve is it ? Is it the one that pierces copper pipe or is it dedicated Angle Stop valve ? Back to you. Milo

    Hey Milo,
My bet's on the self piercing valve. Those are the ones that come with a ice maker line kit. Cheers, Tom
