How long must a non-immigrant be employed in the US before he/she can apply to be LPR
I am a Home Health Aide licensed and certified to practise in the state of Florida. I will be sponsored by a US employer for an H-1B visa and will be eligible to work with this company for 9-12 months. It is my intention to become a permanent resident. Will I be able to apply for LPR status through employment (Labor Certification) and if so, how long do I have to work in the US before I can apply and how long does it usually take? Are there any other options available through which I can become a permanent resident? I have no living relatives in the US.
