Is it normal for my 4 week old to have vaginal bleeding!
Small light pink spotting in her diaper when I changed it... Doctor won't answer and the hospital won't tell me anything over the phone...

Something is wrong. I would get her to a pediatrician right away.

As tickle said, doesn't hurt to have it checked, but it is not uncommon in young infant girls.

They sometimes will have some discharge that can have some blood in it. This is due to hormones from mom that are still in baby's system.

Unsettling to be sure, but most likely that is the cause.

How well is she eating? Are you breastfeeding or formula feeding? How often does she eat? How many wet diapers are you getting in a 24 hour period?

Sometimes, if baby is dehydrated, you may see some urine crystals which can look somewhat like pinkish or reddish blood.
