I recently found out I was pregnant, and these were two of my early symptoms. But these can also be due to your period being around the corner. My breast tenderness started around the same time, two weeks prior to my period, but it wasn't a period type of tenderness where all of my breast is sensitive. My areola was what took most of this sensitivity. They almost felt itchy, but if I tried doing anything to keep it from feeling funny, it would bother me. Also, keep in mind what DoulaLC mentioned, it is in fact still too early to take a pregnancy test.

I agree with Doula. That time in your cycle could by your fertile window. I often have breast tenderness and headaches due to the hormone shift of ovulating.
