I have three wires coming out of a motor on a two post car lift, yellow, blue, and gray. Which is the hot wires?

If 220 yellow and blue are hot. If 110 blue is hot. Yellow neutral. Gray ground. See if it has a schematic. These are generally labelled with short lines and dots. Lines are wires and dots represent wire nuts

What kind of motor?
Size?
120? 240? Either?

Single phase or three phase (which is probably what he meant by what kind)?
