I have a six mon. old chihuahua that is gaining weight very slowly. She weigh in at 15oz. Her legs is long and her vet says there is non-thing wrong with her she a healthy little pup. Can any tell me is this normal.

Many dogs don't eat enough to suit their owners. I even have a sticky on it, https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post254171 It includes a link to checking your dog's body condition. If your vet is happy with it, you should be too. One of the worst things you can do is tempt it with rich food to eat more than it needs. That is a sure route to a fat, sickly dog.
Luscious, I agree with labman. I have seen too many small dogs, chihuahuas included, that are too overweight. If your vet says she is healthy, please believe him. If she is otherwise happy, bright eyed, plays, and eats her food, you don't want to mess with a good thing. She just may be a very petite little girl. Please don't worry yourself over this.
