It might help if you have sex shortly before the exam (to avoid an erection during the exam) - and you should also know that the Dr. has no interest in your penis. You can cover it with your gown or a towel. It's your testicles that the Dr. will need to examine just briefly.

The more you think about it the worse it will be... so when you are waiting for the Dr. think of a good book, good movie or good song... and focus on that to avoid what you are fearing.
