    Hi Ashima_Sunil,

Were you experiencing frequent contractions? This medication is used to stop contractions to that you don't have a premature birth.

Did your doctor prescribe it after you had been on a fetal monitor?

Unless there is a medical reason that would benefit baby from being born a little early, it is always best to have baby stay inside the womb until a bit later in the pregnancy.

Be sure to contact your gyn so that they can explain to you the reason that they prescribed it for you.
