Am 9 months pregnant now! When I told the guy I was, he said he wants a DNA and he said he would contact me and we would talk about it, that was when I first found out I was 11 weeks. Still to this day I have tried to contact him and try to talk about it commenly but he ingores but calls and messages.. So I just been very confused and need help as to what I should?

After you give birth, you file for child support. If he denies paternity, the court will order a paternity test. If the test is positive, he will be ordered to pay support.

Forget about his signing over rights. There is this myth that a parent can just sign over their rights, but its is only a myth. No court is likely to terminate his rights unless he's a danger to the child.

OK. Would I have to give the baby his last name for that? Am not really interset in child support, I just want to prove to him that this baby is his. (1)because when I told him his exact words were "my girlfriend needs a DNA test" (2) because he is acting like nothing ever happen between us. We were never an "offical couple", I was talking to other guys but he was the only one I was having unprotected sex with. At first I was unsure if he was the father but I counted back my weeks. Am 34wks and 3days now! If I go back to my 1st week it leads up to may 27th. I have messages that prove I was with him that night it gives the date and time. So that's how am convienced that he is the father.

No. When the child is born out of wedlock, generally the mother gets to decide what goes on the birth certificate, including the name, (first, last, and middle). If you ask the court to determine that he is the father, and therefore must pay child support, he would have to counter-sue you for such things as visitation and amending the birth certificate.

First, conception dates are an inexact science. Second, no form of birth control is 100%. So if you had other partners around the same time, he may not be the father.

A court may not grant an order for a paternity test just to satisfy your curiosity. You will probably need to apply for child support (and you should for your child's sake).

Child support is a child's right, it is sad that parents refuse to enforce it for a child, it is for the benefit of the child.

Child support is the last thing on my mind, just because my baby won't need that, yea it's a help but the baby is still going to have everything it needs. If I HAVE to file for child support I will... my point is I don't want to depend on that money. I have a lot of friends who have baby's they have jobs and they have the dads on child support.. but they don't get that child support... and I see how frustrated they get. One of my friends said, "wats the point of being put on child support if they isn't even going to pay.. now I don't know if he IS going to pay or not... I don't know if he even has a job.. but that's my point I don't know? All I know up to this day I haven't seen or heard nothing about him, I know he doesn't care right now because he thinks my baby is not his.. but he also hasn't done nothing or even tried talking to me at least... for him not to have any care at all, proves to me what kind of father he is going to be.. thanks for advice everyone some of them where helpful!
