1995 Honda Civic will not start
    Hello:
I have a 95 Honda civic. The car would often times not start (for example, leaving the battery light on for a few minutes... delay starting overnight. When I jump battery.. it starts up quickly) so I attributed it to needing a new battery. Recently it did not start up and I attempted to jump battery but the cables were not put on correctly and then there was a spark. Everything went dead afterwards.. no lights.. no sounds etc. Went out and purchased a new battery but situation remains the same.. no lights, sounds.. won't crank. The fuse beside the battery seemes OK, but don't know what to do now to get it started? Thank you for answering.

This is one reason why I constantly remind people not to jump start a modern day vehicle. The risk is too high that a voltage spike or incorrect cable hook-up will fry the ECM, alternator, or various sensors. Instead, remove and fully charge, or replace, the battery. Most auto parts stores will do this for free. It's good practice to charge a new battery, prior to installation. This saves your alternator, which is only a battery maintainer, not a charger.

Start by checking all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter. After that, focus on the ECM and alternator.

Thank you. I double checked the fuse, and the 80amps fuse is blown. Tried to remove but it won't budge (will not come out)

Use a #2 Phillips head screwdriver to remove both machine screws securing the fuse. Disconnect the negative battery cable, before beginning work. Those fuses are dealer items.
