Cramps and staining at 9 weeks
    Hello ,

I am 9 weeks pregnant. Today I had to strain a lot in my bathroom & later found blood in my stool. Right now having some mild cramps in my lower abdomen.

I am really worried. Do I need to see the doctor now or is fine to wait for my next appointment this Tuesday.

    Let me know uour suggestions.

    Hi Deepa,

If the cramping is just now and then, and mild, with no further bleeding, you can likely wait. Otherwise get things checked. Certainly if it causes you concern, give your doctor a call and see what they suggest.

If the difficulty with going to the toilet has been ongoing, it may be due to constipation. If you are taking a prenatal vitamin, sometimes the extra iron can cause this. You might find it helps to increase the amount of fluids you drink during the day and be sure to slowly increase the amount of fiber in your diet. Your doctor may suggest a stool softener to help until your bowel movements are back to normal.

As for me, I think I would rather be safe and anyway, what is wrong with having an early check-up.. No harm.
