My man and I want to start a family in 2013 this will be our first try mester what should we expect.

Sorry to say, but it can take upwards of TWO years for the effects of the shot to completely wear off..

If you are planning on trying to start a family in 2013, you may want to consider discontinuing the depo injections and switch to another form of birth control until you are ready.

As Curlyben stated, it can take quite a bit of time before fertility returns for some women.

Your first trimester is actually counted from when you become pregnant (or from the last period) until you are 13 weeks pregnant.
