Has he been neutered? Doing this will help him with the urination problem plus will lengthen his life. Also, has he been checked for a bladder infection?
Now he is in worse shape and is very likely suffering from separation anxiety and depression because he has been taken away from his pack (your family). Chaining him outdoors sounds like a cruel solution to what is a problem with probably an easy fix.
Please take him to a vet!
I would definitely put money on something medical. Could be something as easy as worms. Could also be a bladder infection or UTI. There really are only two reasons for a dog to all of a sudden start urinating. Behavioral and medical. When the urinating is accompanied by something like drastic weight loss, you can put your money on medical. Instead of keeping him chained out side, take him to the vet!
Take him to the vet. They can get to the bottom of this. A lot of the time it can be something simple but talking to your vet will be the best thing
That was cruel to put him outside and not take him to the vet to find out what is wrong with him. Take him to the vet and bring him inside.
