Your kitten probably has an upper respiratory infection which is not a good sign. There is nothing you can do but keep him warm and get him to the vet immediately. Encourage water even if you have to do with an eyedropper. The signs you mention are symptoms of distemper.
Cats with respiratory problems usually have "stuffy" noses and as such can't smell too well. A cat that can't smell its food also has a poor appetite, so clean off/up its nose as best you can, and maybe that'll help it eat.
Wipe its eyes with a moist tissue to keep the gloop to a minimum. May not help much, but can't hurt.
So if the kitten has distemper even if I take him to the vet will he die? My son loves this kitten omg this sucks
Will my kitten die if he has distemper? I found him in a dumpster and wanted to help him... Should I waist my money on a vet
I was wondering if my cat has distemper can I get it
No.
Waste your money to keep an animal from suffering and then having a terrible death?
Take the kitten to an animal shelter or give it to someone who is willing to spend money to stop its suffering. You are watching the kitten suffering and wondering what to do next?
How do you know it's distemper? A Vet told you that? You are a Vet? Something else?
How old are you?
EDIT: All of your distemper questions should be combined.
You're an adult watching an animal suffer and possibly die before your son's eyes?
I'll let someone else take this over. Your total lack of compassion startles me.
THere is no such thing as waisting money when it comes to your pets health. Take him to the vet or surrender him to a shelter.
Even if the kitten does not has distemper and it is only an upper respiratory infection, it could still be dangerous and may develop into pneumonia. It could likely take antibiotics to help clear it up. Even with antibiotics it took several weeks for a kitten we adopted to fully recover from a URI. I will not lie, it did take well over a hundred dollars to get her better, but it is more important to take the kittens life into account. If you cannot afford this then please contact a local rescue or humane society.
