Bathroom fan/light stopped working, but main light in bathroom still works...
Hello all. I have gone through and read other questions like mine, but they all seem to have separate switches for the lights and the fan. Howerver, my bathroom only has a single switch that controls the valinity light on top of our sink, and the bathroom fan/light combo in our ceiling.

Here's the thing, one day, the bathroom fan/light stopped working, but the main bathroom light is just fine. I thought that maybe there was an issue with the switch, so I replaced it with a brand new one, still no go.

I even went as far as taking the fan motor out to test it and once I connect it to power, it works just fine. Same with the light fixture as they are two separate items in this one enclosure. So, I went back to Lowe's, and they replaced my fan with a whole new one, took it back home and we are still in the same spot... No worky!

I have checked power with a multimeter and I'm getting the same output at the switch that I get at the motor/light. So, I have exhausted all of my knowledge and thought I would check with you folks. I was wondering if it could be the wiring, but I'm getting the same output everywhere...

    Thanks in advance...

Check the outlets in your bathroom. They mostly have a built in fuse system. If they are tripped, the fan may be connect to that. Plug in say a hair dryer to an all outlets in the bathroom. If it does not turn on, there is your problem.

Check to see if that is the problem. If not, then the problem is the wiring between the fan/light to the on/off toggle switch.

Tell us exactly how you checked power at the fan/light.
