    Height of rough drain
How high do you rough the drain in for a kitchen sink above the finished floor?

We rough our kitchens at 18" to center of the stubout off the floor. Regards, Tom

For a double bowl sink with a disposal we rough 14" to 15" to center. With a single bowl 18" is good. I would rather be too low than high.

We also rough k.s. at 15". Never know when someone will want to install a deep or undermount sink with disposal.

I tend to go lower than what I used to do. Deep undermount sinks with disposals need an extra few inches so I am going at 12" to be sfae for the current owner and any future remodeler

Not a bad idea ball. Only time I see that being a problem is when they decide to put in cabinets with drawers on the bottom (not common, but I actually had a fifteen inch drain be to low when they did this to me one time, the trap wouldn't fit, the floor of the cabinet was like twelve inches high). Really tough to win these days, just to many darn options. Really no such thing as "standard rough in" anymore. Oh well, got to go with the flo I guess.
