My best friend just told me that she has had sex with her friend that is in a relationship. He is telling her he knew it was going to happen and he did not stop it. But that it was a mistake and he never wants it to happen again. My friend is, and has been, in love with him. Now he has slept with her and is calling it a mistake. No, she shouldn't have done it either and she knows that, but now she is hurting. What do I say to her to not make her feel worse?

You can point out its not like it took her years to come to that understanding... and one time is easy to forget... a hundered times over years... now that's a lot harder.

We've all made mistakes... and we all get over them.
