Okay I have NEVER been in trouble with the law EVER! But I recently stole a box of pregnancy tests worth 18 dollars. Or at least I attempted to steal. I got caught. Talk to the police. And now I have to get finger printed and I guess I got to get my picture taken. I have a court date in a week. Will this be on my record forever? I read somewhere I can get it expunged but that costs money. Another thing will this affect anything I do?

You can ask ( if your area has it) a first offender program.

But yes it can have some effect, ( many effects minor) on your life forever.
