    Desperately need help!
I'm looking for an old 1980's (I think) movie that I saw on TV when I was little. It was about a bunch of mostly kids going into space. There was one Blonde woman who was the Doctor. At the beginning of the movie two of the guys one short redhead and a taller brunette went to Mc donalds to eat. THey had to place their palm on a screen to pay. The red head did not have enough money to pay for his meal so he used his friends hand. The red head liked to draw alien men.

Hey everyone thanks for the tries!
I finally found out what it is. It's called Earth Star voyager. Unfortuantely it's not available on video or DVD but at least now I know what it's called

    Any help please?! I'm desperate

As a wild guess, try Lost in Space.

I think it might be SpaceCamp (1986). It's about a bunch of kids in a space camp in the summer who end up going into space by accident. Kate Capshaw is in it and she's blond. :) You can read more about it at the internet movie database here:

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091993/

    Hope that helps.

Thanks for the offer but I already got it on dvd. It's terrible quality but it was the best I could find. I contacted Disney, they told me they would not be releasing it on video or DVD again and I should wait for it to be aired again. When I asked when it would be aired they told me they had no plans for airing it again. So when I asked "what should I do then find a pirated copy?" They told me "if you can you might as well as you can't get it from us." So a guy on bay was selling burnt copies of them and I managed to get one. Like I said though the quality sucks! Lol Normaly I'm totally against pirating anything but in this case I kind of got permission so I'm OK with it.

    Hey guys and gals,

Just wondering if anyone else has found a copy of Earth Star Voyager? I've been looking for this movie ever since I was a little kid, but I couldn't remember the name of the show. Took a lot of searching!

I have the series split on 2 DVDs. I just haven't taken the time to purchase a DL burner yet. The Discs do have chapter menus, and the movies is otherwise seamless and complete. Very good quality too. Email me offboard for information. [email protected]

I still get iquiries about this movie and still have it available. The quality is actually quite decent, being that it came off an old VHS after being recorded from TV. In the near future I hope to put the 2 sections on a DL disc, but for now, most people are happy with the 2-disc version. The commercials and Michael Eisner intros have been removed. You pop the disc in and it plays automatically. If you hit the menu button, there are chapter menus. Many times these boards hide your email. The first part of my email is shown, but it doesn't show that it's a hotmail account. So with that information, you should still be able to send an email.

I'd rather see this available as a retail DVD from Disney, or whomever. It's such a shame that it is not.

If you do send me an email, make sure you watch your junk email for my reply. I reply BCC to combat SPAM, and quite frequently the reply goes to junk mail. It's a bit of a pain in the butt and doesn't really make sense to me why it does.

    Good luck fans.

The forums let members see the email address. However, it's my username at hotmail. Not much easier than that. ;)

Thank You to Saybier for asking this question, I had that same question. Thank You to DoRamius for all the excellent responses. Poo on everyone else. Check out the wikipedia entry on Earth Star Voyager and educate yourselves.

I still have it available. Never did get around to putting it on a DL disc, but most people have been telling me they prefer it on the 2 discs. If you send me a message, be sure to check your junk mail. Not sure why my replies sometimes end up in junk mail, but I've had a few people tell me that was how they received them. If you don't hear a reply in a few days, email me again. It's my username at hotmail. Be sure to check your junk mail box.

Hi, I also contacted Disney about releasing the movie on DVD, my understanding is that there isn't enough of a demand. Thus, I have started a Facebook group (hey, it's worth a shot). It's called "I'd like Earth Star Voyager on DVD, please!" and I'd like as many members as possible. It can't hurt and its definitely at least worth trying, so if you're interested, please continue joining. Thanks!
