IThe humidity in my house is at 34% and is not enough humidity for me.
I had a Trane humidifier attached to my oil heat furnace. The control is set at 45%. I can get only 34% humidity in my home. I am told repeatedly it is the house. My nose and throat need more humidity is it my nose? Why can't I get 45% if the control is at 45%?

Probably out of calibration, not much you can do unless you want to replace the humidifier,, try raising the setting to 55% and see what it brings your house up to, hopefull the 45% you are after

What temperature is your thermostat set at? The higher the heat the faster and dryer the air will get. Just a suggestion keep heat level between 72 and 74 year round should help some.
