I need help. I've been cleaning the outside of my monroe piercing with antibacterial soap, like I'm apparently supposed to, but it makes it really dry and itchy and sore and irritated when I use it. What should I do? Is there anything else I can use to clean it with instead?

Buy some bactine. They sell it at drug stores. Spray it on a few times a day.

Gargle and swish sea salt water. That's what I would normally do with my tongue piercing. No, I don't have any lip piercings, but the tongue is in the mouth as well, so I am sure it would apply the same for lip piercings. Discontinue use of whatever soap you're using. You could also buy some H2Ocean sea salt spray and spray your piercing 3x/day. Simply using antibacterial soap sounds like a "no-no" to me.
