Does a father have to sign off on both biological kids? My ex threatened me and said he will just sign off on his child if he has to go to court. He already has one child to me which he pays child support. Would he have to sign off on his first child as well? I'm worried that he will sign off on the second one and not want to on the first which is not right!

What do you mean by "sign off" do you mean to be listed on the birth certificate ?

If you are somehow trying to take about signing away his rights, he can't do it, that is a myth.

He is going to be listed on the birth certificate. He is the biological father. He said he wants to sign off because he wants to try to get out of child support. The baby is due in Feb and I am going o take him to court for child support. He is also the father of my first child and he is always late on his cild support and he hardly ever interested in coming to see her anyway. He is a deadbeat dad. The kind that likes his drugs better than anything else in the world. I was just wondering if he decides to sign off on his newborn (due in Feb) don't he have to sign off on his other child too or can he get away with only signing off on one of his daughters and then decide to pay child support for just one?

As Chuck said, he can't do it. If you go for child support and he claims its not his child a paternity test will be ordered by the court. If it comes back that he is the father than the court will award you support and there isn't a thing he can do about it.

There is no such thing as "signing off". Either he signs an acknowledgment of paternity or the court will declare him the legal father.
