    Dating Ages.
So, I'm 13, and I like this 16 year old, and he likes me. I was just wondering if that's illegal or anything? I heard that if the guy is 2 years older, or younger, its okay, but, any different, its illegal? But, I'm not sure. Would a 13 almost 14 year old, and a 16 year old be okay to date?

There are no "dating" laws in the US, each state has laws on having sex, and also many have laws on sexual touching.

The main issue is that often 16 year old boys, and older will have sex on their minds

And the issues are of course longer term when he turns 18, you will still be 15

When he is 19 you will still be 16.

But as for as dating, your parents and his parents will both have to agree. You can date if they say it is OK. If he touches you incorrectly or if you have sex, he could go to jail for a long time.

You can date but if you have sex with him and your parents find out they can press charges

Your parents don't have to say yes

This is not true. A minor is under the control of their parents. Parents need to approve dating and other behaviors.

You continue to post very incorrect information on emancipation, dating and teenage questions in general.

Where did you get this particular info that two people underage don't need parental permission? I realize that you are dating behind your parents' backs. That is not legally smart. If the parents say no and the dating continues one of the parties CAN be charged with parental interference.
