First offense dui moving from GA to MT for work.
You committed the offense in the state you was caught... thats the state that has jurisdiction... thats the state you will have your trial... and most likely do your time... if its like many states that throw the book at you the first time..
MT doesn't have the legal authority to try you for a state crime committed in GA, if that's where you was caught.
But can I move to Montana while on probation. What are the chances of my p.o saying yes
IF your fines are paid, and if you had any programs to do, are they done, But if those are yes, it should not be a problem.
It can take 30 to 90 days, so you will need to get it started.
GA has to approve it, your PO merely recommends and sends paper work n. then MN has to approve it and send it back.
As Fr Chuck stated then... I incorrectly assumed you had not gotten that far through the system, since you didn't mention that at first.
