I fell earlier on my left foot and it popped very loudly and hard... I have never broken any bones and I really don't know symptoms to look for. My foot is numb on the bottom and at the toes, yet in very bad pain on the top. I can't stand on it or walk... I don't know what it could be. I have been reading up onm breaks and such and nothing has been said so far about numbness. Is this a common occurrence along with severe pain?

You need your foot x rayed to determine exactly which part is broken. If you can't walk on your foot there is obviously something very wrong. As for numbness, well, could be nerve damage.

Go see a doctor!
