Who are you asking for permission to "change" your name to the name of your daughter? A mortgage company? Someone else?

You can't change names on a Deed if you have a mortgage. You need the consent of the mortgage company (which gave a loan to 2 people and doesn't want that to change - in most cses) to change a Deed.

But that depends on exactly what you are asking - ?

Also we have to assume you want someone's permission. If the home is owned free and clear then you will have a title company or attorney draw up a new deed in their name, it would be signed and filed at the court house.

But as noted, if there is a loan on the property, you can't change ownership, without a new loan.
